Full Sail
The Damariscotta River in midcoast Maine is a lovely place to sail on a lazy summer day. I was painting in South Bristol on a warm afternoon when I spied this elegant boat sailing down the river to the ocean.

Rockport Sails

Rockport has a small cozy harbor. On this spring day it was bustling with activity as the sail boats were launched joining the lobster boats that worked all winter.

The Harbor at Rockport Maine
As the weather warms up the sail boats are taken out of winter storage and returned to their summer moorings. New sails are installed and the boats are readied for the summer season.
