The mountains of New Hampshire are full of beautiful lakes. Lake Wentworth is one of these little jewels. The islands on the lake at sunset looked mysterious and dark. The sky and lake were lit up with glorious sunset color.

Lakeside Reflections
On my painting trips through western Massachusetts there is a tiny lake in a state park I love to visit. I used to picnic here with my family when I was little. It hasn't changed at all. its still wild and rustic. It is in a remote area and always quiet after Labor Day. The cottages across the lake are empty and I have the place to myself. I love sitting on the shore in the warm late summer sun painting.

Maine: Emery Mills
The ice is thawing on Mousam Lake in Emery Mills. The reflection of the pines on the open water is a beautiful contrast to the melting sheet of ice still rimming the shore.
